So I haven't blogged in FOREVER. But the days, weeks...let's face it, months....just seem to be flying by. And as a Speech Pathologist that works for a school district, I used to dream of the days and weeks flying by to get me to any and all breaks from school. But now I find myself having mixed emotions about this loss of time. I look forward to the breaks to spend extra time with my kiddos and family, but I hate to wish away 187 days (that's the school year in days) just to get to summer. Because let's be honest, summer passes all to quickly. I love the quote "life is what happends while you're busy making plans." I have no idea who said it, but it is all too true in my case. So I'm doing my best to enjoy the day to day things, in addition to looking forward to time off work with my babies!
Now that it's almost October we are finally settling into our new "normal" school year routine. Jackson is doing great at school and getting more and more comfortable with his new teachers and friends. The class he's in this year takes a field trip every other week to any and all places around town, i.e. parks, libraries...and most recently TU to play basketball (the Dad of one of his fellow classmates plays BB for TU). At first Jackson was very nervous about going on the bus for these field trips but after 2 field trips he's decided that he likes the bus ride! Thank goodness!
Campbell is great! She is such a laid back baby..AMEN! She is trying to sit up on her own, babbling a lot, and has recently started cereal. She's such a joy to have around our house and completes our family perfectly.
We are looking forward to October getting here, and bringing with it our first family trip to Branson, Halloween, and beautiful outside weather! I just LOVE the fall....the smells, the clothes, the food, the temperatures...ahhhh! What do you love about the fall?
I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying some cooler weather in your neck of the woods!
